She sits alone by her window
Looking for someone that never appears
She sees nothing but a shadow
Of the man she wants to be here
She was told to go to sleep
But she knew that she couldn’t
She wanted to wait for him
Though she knew she shouldn’t
She grew more and more tired
As she watched time pass by
She wanted to know where he was,
But if she asked him he would lie

"I've learned that people always underestimate my ability, but one thing they should never underestimate is the drive behind my ability."
Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.
Henry Ford
A dying man needs to die,
as a sleepy man needs to sleep,
and there comes a time when it is wrong,
as well as useless, to resist.
--Stewart Alsop
I Saw You Hurt Her Today
I saw you hurt her today
the words you said that wont ever go away
She looked at me and gave a sigh
I just hads to turn my eye
Because if I were to look in her dark grey eye
I knew I would start to cry
All the mean things you say-the awful ones that
wont ever go away
You know they aren't true
And in your heart I know you do
So be the one to step up to the plate
Come on say it-
Dont try to be shy
Because that would be a lie
Just walk right up and be the man
I see your tears flowing
But it could all be over in a second
Most people say "your actions speak louder than words"
In this case you words spoke louder than actions
Get it over with-come on- just say it-
I'M SORRY!!
"PEOPLE DO NOT DECIDE THEIR FUTURE, THEY DECIDE THEIR HABITS AND THEIR HABITS DECIDE THEIR FUTURE."
"Opportunity of a lifetime, must be seized in the lifetime of the opportunity."
I heard this last night while listening to music. My mind started racing about the opportunities that I have been given and sometimes have thought well when I get ready then I will go for it, but it never crossed my mind that our opportunities have a lifetime. They won't always be there for us; We have to seize those moments before they pass us by. I feel like God gives us many opportunities and it is left to us as to which ones we seize.
"And in the end, it's not the years in your life that counts. It's the life in your years." --Abraham Lincoln
Some may say that this quote totally contradicts itself, but if you read it really closely you will see the depth and meaning. When we die it doesn't matter how old we are what matters is how long our story lives behind us. Each of us have a book that we write in daily, whether good decisions or bad they get jotted down on each page, and in the end we are left with the question,"How long will my book stay around before it becomes old and torn and has to be taken off the shelf." The trick is that if a book is extrememly good then it never dies, it never comes off the shelf, it will just keeping going on and on for years. How good is your book? Is it worth picking up and reading one day? Remember there is always room for improvement.
"To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did."
I have found this quote quite helpful in the past few weeks. I have had to learn how to be out of my shell/comfort zone because it's something that I have never done and the more I learn to be out there I have had some many opportunities come my way. Sometimes we just have to let go to get the things we want. It may not always be the easiest thing to do but it will be rewarding in the end.
"For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others."
